How is a sculpture made?

This question is asked a lot.  When sculpting the original out of clay, it can take weeks, months or years, depending on the theme, the size and how inspired the artist is / how fast they work on it.  That's one side of the coin.   The other side is the casting into bronze.  Below is a generic video of the lost wax bronze casting method. Often when admirers are educated about what goes into the creation of a bronze sculpture, they aren't shocked at the cost.  So it's two halves, the creation of the original, then the molding and casting of the bronze.  To learn more about creation of an original,you can read Eli's thoughts and see progress in the UPDATES section.
